Egg Picnic

Eight in the Wild - eight bear species in the world, six of which are endangered

With Love from South America - endangered species in South America

Celebrate Indigenous - Celebrating the Indigenous people on every continent

Borneo Pygmy Elephant Toy - 80% of these animals that have had their habitats destroyed due to
logging and Palm Oil plantations

Wouldn't it be great if you were able to decorate your walls and at the same time raise awareness about environmental and social issues and also give to charity? Well now you can thanks to Egg Picnic founded by Camila De Gregorio and Christopher Macaluso. Their universally relatable design aesthetic creates a bridge to communicate complex, sometimes confronting, socially-conscious ideas and stories through art prints and art-toys. Some of their prints are in collaboration with non profit organisations in Australia and part of the sales gets donated to them. What a great initiative Egg Picnic is - it's socially conscious art!

Well done Radiant Orchid for winning the Pantone Color of the Year award for 2014 (and it's not even 2014 yet!) - you must be so proud of yourself! Say goodbye to a favourite of mine and last years winner Emerald Green - I will still be using you though.

Moroccan Princess

You may remember back in November 2011 I posted a baby nursery entitled Princess India - well now Princess India is all grown up and has travelled to Morocco! Her Mum called upon my services again to re-work the room to incorporate a new big girls bed and some new furniture pieces. I really love the custom designed fabrics I chose for the bed pillows and also the custom made heart art piece which is a real show stopper in the room! My favourite item is the pink moroccan shaped bed head I designed - the orange piping is such a gorgeous addition to the look of both the bed head and the ottoman at the end of the bed.

Blue Bliss

I'm sure many of your know by now that I have a deep seeded love for neons and bright colors .... but I have to admit pastels are the new neon! I created this beautifully blissful blue room for a divine little nine year old girl. I absolutely love the color and pattern of the wallpaper - it really gives the entire room a peaceful serene feel and a harmonious space for lots of homework! The gorgeous heart pillow on the swan chair was lovingly created by my clients grandmother who made it out of a dress that my client didn't fit into anymore! How cute is that!
